Fresh calls have been made for the Blackpool flood relief scheme to be fast-tracked.
It comes as new environmental studies for the delayed €20 million project have been completed, according to the Irish Examiner.
Cork North Central Fine Gael TD Colm Burke said the ongoing delay for a scheme that was first proposed over a decade ago is hampering Blackpool's growth and development.
Deputy Burke said it needs to be fast-tracked now.
