Emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic incident on the northside of the city this afternoon.
It's understood that a 4 year old boy was knocked down on Knockpogue Avenue in Farranree shortly before 3 pm.
The young boy has since been transferred to hospital with what's described as serious injuries.
The road remains closed, however traffic flow is not effected in the area.
