An investigation has been launched into the deaths of five people who drowned when their car plunged off a pier in Buncrana , County Donegal last night. Two adults and three children are among the dead while a two month old baby girl was rescued by a passerby. Gardai are describing the incident as "a tragic accident" and believe the car may have slipped into the water shortly after 7pm. The Gardaí are liasing with the PSNI over the incident, as the vehicle is reported to be a Northern registered SUV.
