It's an anti-overdose drug
Firefighters in Cork city will be able to administer the anti-overdose drug Naloxone from tomorrow.
Crews will carry two devices in their trauma bags, having completed training on how to give it to someone to help block the effects of an opioid overdose.
Up to now they could only prescribe aspirin for cardiac chest pain.
