999 call was made shortly after 5am.
Cork City Fire Service attended an incident this morning at Cornmarket Street in the city.
A fire was reported in an apartment at around 5-15am.
Several units of the fire brigade from Anglesea Street and Ballyvolane responded.
The incident was brought under control and there are no reports of any injuries.
