Figures show a drop today in demand for hospital beds in Cork

55 admitted patients are waiting for a hospital bed in Cork which is down 31 on yesterdays number.

Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are 40 at Cork University Hospital , 11 at the Mercy and 4 at Bantry General Hospital.

University Hospital Limerick continues to have the highest daily figure with 79.

438 admitted patients are on trolleys in hospitals around the country,down from 483 yesterday.
