
Counting is in its final stages for the European elections.
Fianna Fáil's Billy Kelleher has been elected after surpassing the quota by over 5000 votes, after getting more than a quarter of the transferable votes from John Mullins who was eliminated earlier.
Billy Kelleher is the second elected member of parliament after Fine Gaels Sean Kelly.
Michael McNamara is in third position with
87,542 votes, ahead of Kathleen Funchion with
82,508 votes.
Cynthia Ní Mhurchú leads the race for the fifth and final seat at the moment with 75,900,
Mick Wallace follows closely on 73,947 votes.
