A JetBlue flight from London Heathrow to JFK in New York declared an emergency this morning.
The flight was diverted to Shannon airport after the alarm was raised.
The airport fire and rescue service, Clare Fire Service, the ambulance service and Gardaí responded, as part of the emergency activation plan for the airport.
The airport has since confirmed that the aircraft landed safely at 10:48am and no injuries have been reported.
