It's the street that links Leitrim Street and Wellington Road in Cork city centre.
A truck clipped a house and fire crews and gardai are in attendance.
The street is closed to traffic for now and it's understood fire crews will be in attendance for a while yet.
There have been no injuries as a result of the collision.
