ECB likely to announce another hike in interest rates tomorrow.

Many economists, including the head of Ireland’s Central Bank, estimate interest rates will go up by 0.5%, marking a 2.5 percent increase this year alone.

The move is being made in an attempt to ease inflation which is running at 10%, 5 times higher than the European Central Bank's target.

Ireland South MEP Sean Kelly says the hike is "unfortunate" but some homeowners have planned ahead:
