The hometown of Sam Maguire will host a weekend of Star Wars themed activities, workshops & cosplay
On Saturday June 1st and Sunday June 2nd, the West Cork town will be known as "Intergalactic Dunmanway", the two day event will have festivals, exhibitions and much more
With dozens of your favourite characters patrolling the streets of , make sure you have your camera to hand for that all important selfie or moment. Make sure you visit the specially commissioned and built photo opportunity in Atkins Hall, meet an intergalactic queen resplendent on her throne!
The festival’s inclusive ethos is All Tribes Welcome and will feature characters and models from Naboo to Tatooine, Stormtrooper to Tusken Raider.
There will be fundraising and the recipient charity will be the Dunmanway Hub of CoAction as a thank you for their great work and care in our community.
To ensure everyone gets to experience the wonder and imagination of Star Wars in a collection so expertly curated by Nuri, Caroline and the West Cork Tuskens, movie authentic cosplayers and collectors will be on hand over the course of the weekend to answer all those intergalactic questions and queries. Please note, there is limited capacity for demonstrations, workshops and talks.
Join us in Dunmanway and be part of one of the biggest Star Wars exhibitions ever staged in Cork! Attend in your favourite costume, enjoy browsing the two venues, Atkins Hall (P47 C803) and St. Patrick’s Hall (P47 P898) and you’ll never know who you may meet on Main Street and the Square. Local shops are theming their windows while restaurants and coffee shops will be serving up some intergalactic delights and treats
