A pod of at least three were spotted in the River Lee at Patrick's Bridge today.
The pod appeared to be feeding in the river.
It's not the first time that dolphins have been seen up river in Cork City.
It's believed dolphins can be relentless in their pursuit of fish but they can also follow a sick or confused member of their pod into city environments.
