The Department of Education is being asked to carry out an urgent review into the availability of school places in East Cork.
At yesterday's meeting of Cork County Council, Cllr James O' Connor said parents in a number of towns are concerned about a lack of school places for their children.
Cllr O' Connor wants the Department to set up a task force to look at the issue;
