Demand for hospital beds in Cork has eased significantly after the record high recorded at Cork University Hospital yesterday.(Tues)
Trolley figures at CUH revealed 84 admitted patients waiting for a bed.
INMO said this was the highest figure reached since it began keeping records in 2006.
Today there are 46 patients on trolleys at CUH and 9 at the Mercy.
People are still being advised to explore alternative options before presenting at the Emergency Departments.
