People were urged to avoid the area around the carcass
A dead dolphin washed up on Congor Strand Ballycotton over the weekend.
Ballycotton RNLI posted on Facebook that they were saddened to report it adding that they had informed both the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group and Orca Ireland.
The post urged people to avoid the area around the carcass for the safety of the public and their pets.
