Republic of Ireland star David Meyler has announced his retirement due to injury.
The Cork man says it`s the result of long-term injury issues relating to his right knee.
The versatile central midfielder was capped 26 times for his country.
He spent over a decade in English football following his move from Cork City to Sunderland in 2008.
