The incident occurred shortly after 10am yesterday morning when a man, in his 60s, fell from his bike while cycling at Ballybrack.
He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
It’s understood no other vehicle was involved in this incident.
Gardaí are appealing for witness to contact them at Fermoy Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
