Figures show that over 200,000 people travelled between Cork and London.

Almost half a million more passengers used Irish airports in the second quarter of this year, when compared to the same period last year.

Just over 11 million passengers passed through the five main Irish airports from April to June.

Cork Airports busiest routes were London-Heathrow, London - Stansted, Amsterdam, Malaga and Faro accounting for 350,000 journeys.

Palma de Mallorca, Edinburgh and Manchester were also among Cork's busiest routes.
