County Mayor says Government must listen to people following RIC commemorations controversy

The Taoiseach has admitted that the planned commemoration could have been handled better. 

Leo Varadkar says it was the right decision to defer the event which was due to take place later this month. 

Many Public representatives declined invites to the function - including the Lord Mayor and County Mayor of Cork.
