Councillor Frank O'Flynn is elected Mayor of the County of Cork

The Mayoral chain is being handed over at the AGM of Cork County Council.

North Cork based County Councillor Frank O Flynn has been elected as Mayor of the County of Cork.

Outgoing Mayor Councillor Danny Collins has said today marks the end of an epic and extraordinary chapter in his life.

Councillor Frank O'Flynn is the new Mayor of the County of Cork in an uncontested vote by members of Cork County Council.

Nominated by Councillor Seamus McGrath and seconded by Councillor Declan Hurley, Mayor O'Flynn will be the first Mayor for North Cork for this Council. pic.twitter.com/rQU42xdy8Q
