The Cork - Waterford Road remains closed between Castlemartyr and Killeagh in East Cork due to flooding. Pumping continues to lower the groundwater table , which is flooding the N25. While progress is being made the road remains closed , until further notice. The situation is being monitored closely by Cork County Council and An Garda Síochána. The authorities are appealing to motorists to obey the directional signs for the alternative routes and where possible to avoid using the N25.
