It comes as applications remain at record levels
The RSA says even the busiest centres have seen improvements, though Wilton and Mallow are still outside the 10-week target, while Skibbereen is now within the target timeframe.
Cork County Councillor Deirdre O’Brien received confirmation from the OPW saying a new centre will open in Mitchelstown helping to reduce waiting times and benefit local applicants.
Cllr O'Brien says its an extremely welcome development; "Mitchelstown is great, its location, logistics of Mitchelstown is fantastic. It's so accessible from the M8 and from every town. It's your real centre point."
"It's great to bring down the list, is the main aim here."
