Ireland must take the lead on capping nicotine levels in cigarettes.
That's the message from Cork TD Colm Burke, Fine Gael's spokesperson on Health.
It comes as the US Government seek a cap on the level of nicotine in cigarettes and other finished tobacco products, with formal legislative proposals expected next year.
