With more than 40,000 people expected to attend and over 200 events and attractions scheduled across the two days, the full programme is now live at www.corksummershow.com, offering visitors the perfect chance to plan ahead. Organisers are also urging the public to take advantage of free shuttle buses running from key locations around Cork, or make use of the extended Bus Éireann 208 route which will drop you right at the Showgrounds and picks you up for an easy return journey, helping reduce congestion and ensuring a smoother experience for all.
Organised by the Munster Agricultural Society, which celebrates its 220th anniversary this year, the Cork Summer Show is a cornerstone of Ireland’s agricultural and cultural calendar. The 2025 show promises one of its biggest programmes yet, coinciding with Father’s Day on the Sunday and offering a vibrant mix of farming, food, live entertainment and hands-on family fun.
A highlight of this year’s festivities is a special live performance by acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Mundy, who will take to the Main Stage from 2–3pm on Sunday 15 June, making it the perfect setting for a Father’s Day outing to remember.
Throughout the weekend, the showgrounds will be transformed into a colourful celebration of Irish life. Families can explore the Kids’ Zone and Funfair, enjoy creative workshops, puppet shows, remote control racing, martial arts demos, and meet friendly animals in the Pet Dog Show, Alpaca Pet Zone, and Dog Demo Zone. The Field of Dreams project, run by Down Syndrome Cork, returns once again, and there will also be a Relax Space available, offering a calm, inclusive area for families. This year’s official charity partner is My Canine Companion, which provides accredited autism service dogs to children and families across Ireland, will have a stand in this space.
Visitors can also enjoy live cookery demos from well-known chefs from well-known names such as TikTok star Edgar Kirby, Orla McAndrew, and The Culinary Celt, Cathy Fitzgibbon, alongside artisan markets and traditional skills demonstrations, including walking stick making, basket weaving, and rare breed pig showcases. With over 800 competition classes across livestock, equestrian, crafts, horticulture and food, the Cork Summer Show remains a proud platform for Irish talent, skill and innovation. Entries can be made online.
This year’s official charity partner is My Canine Companion, a national organisation providing accredited autism service dogs to children and families across Ireland, reflecting the Show’s strong focus on community, care, and inclusion.
Gerard Murphy, President of the Munster Agricultural Society, said: “The Cork Summer Show is part of the fabric of Cork life. For over 200 years, it has brought communities together to celebrate farming, food, craft and culture. It’s a vital platform for showcasing rural Ireland at its best — and we’re proud to see it continue to evolve while staying true to its roots. We’re encouraging everyone to come along, soak up the atmosphere, and, where possible, leave the car behind and take the free shuttle — it’s the easiest and most enjoyable way to experience the show.”
Free shuttle buses will run throughout the weekend from Ballincollig Shopping Centre, Black Ash Park & Ride, and Curraheen Greyhound Stadium. An extended Bus Éireann 208 route will also be in operation. This direct service drops you right at the Showgrounds and picks you up for an easy return journey. Free parking will be available only at designated park-and-ride locations, and all visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and use the shuttle service.
