The RNLI is urging people in Cork to stay safe in the water this bank holiday weekend.
It is part of a joint national appeal issued by The Coast Guard, Water Safety Ireland and the RNLI.
Many people are expected to enjoy the water however water temperatures remain cold in many areas.
John Mathers from Crosshaven RNLI spoke to us this morning and had this advice for people.
