Cork firm invests €4m in new training hub for heating sector

NRG Awareness has officially opened a €4 million state-of-the-art training and office facility in Glanmire.

The new centre will focus on product development, professional training, and supporting Ireland’s shift to energy-efficient and renewable heating systems.

European Commissioner Michael McGrath, who attended the opening, praised the investment for combining local innovation with a global vision and contributing to national and EU climate goals.

NRG Awareness, which currently employs 15 staff, plans to use the facility to upskill installers, plumbers, and heating professionals while expanding into UK and European markets. Managing Director Mark Dineen highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering future-proof heating solutions and high-standard training to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

With roots spanning more than five decades in the Irish heating trade, NRG Awareness is positioning itself at the forefront of Ireland’s green energy transition.
