Strike action at Bus Eireann looks likely to continue across the weekend...
Commuters in Cork are facing into a second weekend of no buses.
It’s the eighth day of strike action at Bus Eireann in a row over
cost cutting measures as the company faces insolvency.
This morning the action went up a level when Irish Rail
and Dublin Bus workers joined their Bus Eireann colleagues
on the picket lines.
Virtually services were cancelled by the action,
with management saying it was completely unexpected.
