People are advised that they can only dispose of essential waste.
Civic Amenity Sites operated by Cork County Council have seen an 80% increase since the introduction of the Government`s initial Covid-19 measures over two weeks ago.
Following the announcement of further measures last Friday , there was concern that people would be restricted in their movements in relation to waste disposal.
County Council has reviewed the matter in relation to Civic Amenity Sites and these are to reopen from today for essential waste only.
Several restrictions will be imposed and people are asked to be mindful of the conditions and to comply with guidelines.
