Cork County Council says Budget 2020 which has been approved by the elected members will strengthen the positive work being performed by the local authority..
The budget totalling over 338 million euro was enhanced by the 5% increase in Local Property Tax approved in September.
Within the overall budget package , an additional 6.8 million euro has been allocated to road transport and safety and a 48.6%
increase per capita from last year on the road maintenance allocation.
Community services across the 8 municipal districts have also been increased and 365 ,000 euro has been ringfenced for
Climate Change initiatives.
