A Cork-based group of schoolchildren are the only Irish winners of this year's European Citizen's Prize. CoderDojo is a global network of free programming clubs set up in Cork to show children from 7 to 17 how to code and develop websites, games and apps. There are now 550 similar coding clubs in the E.U. Sean Kelly MEP, who hosted the first ever coding event in the European Parliament in 2013, nominated the Cork group for this award.
