Figures contained in the Echo reveal that a quarter of all inpatient beds earmarked for children with mental health issues in Cork are currently not operational.
There are four Camhs facilities across the country including Eist Linn in Cork which is located on the grounds of the Bessborough Centre.
It's understood that of the 16 beds available, only 12 are operational due to a consultant vacancy.
However, HSE has reportedly given assurances that the vacancy should be filled by September or October this year.
