Brittany Ferries operates a summer season service between Cork and Roscoff.
After navigating a path through two disastrous summer seasons because of Covid,the company says the increase in bookings next summer has brought renewed optimism.
By the end of October,almost 189 ,000 passengers had booked travel for the holiday season in 2022 which is up 48% on the 2020 summer season.
France-Ireland bookings are up 234% while on the predominantly freight Spain-Ireland routes,they are up by over 80%.
