The discovery was made on Saturday June 28th at Ballymaquirk.
Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances in relation to the discovery of the body of a man in his 50s at Ballymaquirk, Mallow, Co. Cork on the evening of Saturday 28th June, 2025.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information relating to this incident to come forward.
In particular, Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in relation to a male walking on the road between Banteer and Kanturk, Co. Cork, on the evening of Friday June 13th 2025 between the hours of 3.30pm and 9:00pm.
Any road users who were travelling in this vicinity at the time, and who may have camera footage including dash cam, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
