Appeal against leniency of a sentence imposed on former Cork garda dismissed

An appeal by the DPP against the leniency of a sentence given to a former Cork community guard who pleaded guilty to corruption and theft has been dismissed.

John O'Halloran - who had been based at Barrack St Garda Station - was given a two year suspended sentence in February 2018.
