Over 118,662 hospital patients were left without a bed in 2022 so far, making it the worst year for overcrowding on record according to the INMO.
Cork University Hospital was the second most overcrowded hospital throughout the year with 12,133 patients on trolleys.
University Hospital Limerick had the highest figure at 17,640.
