75 patients on trolleys in Cork today

Seventy-five admitted patients are waiting for beds at Cork University Hospital and the Mercy this morning. 

Figures released by the INMO today show 47 people are on trolleys at CUH while 28 people are waiting for beds at the Mercy. 

Nationally, 554 patients are being treated on trolleys at hospitals across the country. 

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected facility with 73 people awaiting beds.
