4 years in jail for dangerous driving causing death

Sentence was handed down at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.

A 46 year old woman who pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of Sheila Dunne has been jailed for 4 years.

Jennifer Thomas with an address at Oakfield View, Glanmire appeared before Cork Circuit Criminal Court this morning.

Judge Helen Boyle sentenced her to 5 years with one year suspended.

Fifty year old mother of two Sheila Dunne died on February 13th 2024 - two days after the vehicle she was travelling in crashed at Sarsfield Court, Glanmire.
