Rescue services are advising people to take extra care on or in the water.
A dinghy capsized east of Whitegate Oil Refinery yesterday afternoon and three people were rescued.
RNLI crews launched to the scene shortly before 4 o'clock and the casualties were taken from the water and brought safely ashore.
The dinghy was later escorted to a safe berth in Cobh.
RNLI, Coast Guard and Water Safety Ireland are appealing to people to stay safe this weekend.
